Cat killing birds and other wildlife?!?

this kitty is a stray cat that is really gentle. we are feeding it currently and it is currently trying to catch whatever wildlife he sees. if we stop feeding him, i know he will go away but he might not find a place to find food :( i really care about this kitty.


we found a foster home organization but their foster homes are full at the moment. i know that kitty can't help catching the birdies but i really care about the wildlife around here. can't keep him, family member don't like fur. what should i do?Cat killing birds and other wildlife?!?
He's just doing what comes naturally, but if you want to still feed him, and keep him from killing his own food, put a break-away collar (snag-free; your pet store can help you out with this) on him that has a bell on it to alert the surrounding wildlife. Of course, that comes with a risk to the kitty too; it could alert dogs of his presence as well.Cat killing birds and other wildlife?!?
if its wild, i seriously doubt you can ever catch him. if you cant keep him, then dont spoil him by feeding him. he will eventually want in. when he is turned down, he may feel unwanted and become depressed and become weak from not eating and then he is the prey. you can always make a deignated room for him. let the family member adjust slowly. kittens are nice to have around.
try and put a collar on him with a bell the wildlife will hear him before he pounce's
only way to help is put noisy bell on coller
The cat is use to killing to survive and now you are feeding the cat he will stop killing you stop feeding the kitty he will go back to killing again its his only means of staying alive.


Ask around the neighbourhood if any one would like the kitty?


IS it possible to keep for outside cat??????


If not ask your friends if they could take the kitty. or other family members.


IF have to take to store with a free kitty sign and hopefully some kind big hearted person will take the baby home and give it a LOVING home .


Please don't abandon baby try real hard to get a new family for it

Try looking for a nokill shelter in your area. They can provide you with a humane trap if you can't catch him. Then you can take him to the rescue or shelter so he can find a good home. Or, try and convince your family that the cat needs a good home and keep him.
