That is a very noble thought. Consider joining the World Wide fund for Nature (WWF). The email address is given below. You can send them a mail volunteering your service. There are also many local efforts....if you look around you can find them..
You can look up the world wildlife foundation. Or you look in you local phone book, library, or city hall. It won't be too difficult too find some worthy cause too help out in!!!!!!!!!!!!
